Chris Luijten, CEO of ITCA, has been in the Information Technology industry for over 10 years. He began his career as an inside sales representative for an international reseller of hardware and software licenses and continued on to specialize in software license agreements. This experience was the genesis of his burgeoning success in the software licensing and compliance field, eventually leading him to establish ITCA.
Chris moved on to HP EMEA in 2001 to gain a more diverse foundation of knowledge. During his time at HP, Chris further honed his expertise in software license management, and forged strategic partnerships with technology vendors and consultants to offer a full solution to clients. He formed a License Management Services department within HP with the goal to provide clients strategic advice and specialized services in Software Asset Management (SAM); and initiated a platform around SAM by hosting one of the first conferences about this topic and inviting the top CIO's of major Dutch companies to discuss "Best Practices in Software License Management".
In 2005, Chris embarked on his biggest challenge yet and founded ITCA. His years of working for corporate IT firms led him to look at software licensing and compliance in new and creative ways. Realizing a need in the industry for more robust license compliance programs, he leveraged his experience and skill set to accomplish this. ITCA is pioneering the way to creating an economically-sound and fair playing field for the entire software community by educating industry stakeholders in software use, licensing and compliance. If Chris' past 10 years is any indication of what is to come, ITCA is well on its way to achieving its goal of protecting software vendors and clients alike against incompliance and piracy issues.
